We love cake, especially when it’s award-winning.
It’s even better when it’s made with seasonal fruit and veg.
That’s why we’re very excited to introduce The Great Dulwich Bake Off’s award-winning Orange, Carrot and Pistachio Cake, lovingly baked by Feed&Read’s brilliant baker, Charlie (who you will also find at Peckham Farmers’ Market on Sundays).
It’s being served at our very first pop-up on Sunday 16th December at Bearspace Gallery in Deptford, from 12-4pm.
You better get down early in case it all runs out, although, if it does, we’ll also be serving some other seasonal delights: a rich and warming Apple and Cinnamon Cake, as well as sweet and tangy Cranberry and White Chocolate Brownies.
Pop-in for a slice and a lovely cup of tea for the perfect Sunday afternoon treat! We’ll also have takeaway tea and cake for all the busy Christmas shoppers – who shouldn’t forget to have a browse at our cards, decorations and book selection which make the perfect presents for literary lovers.
And finally, a little quote to whet your appetite:
Charlie grabbed it and quickly tore off the wrapper and took an enormous bite. Then he took another…and another…and oh, the joy of being able to cram large pieces of something sweet and solid into one’s mouth! The sheer blissful joy of being able to fill one’s mouth with rich solid food!
