We love collaboration at Feed&Read, which is why we’ve teamed up with literary talent, Katie Wells, to write some witty verses to accompany our scrumptious seasonal cakes.

Rhubarb and Custard Cake
You’ve heard of this classic, love for which is often voiced,
As Sunday afters or sweets it’s more commonly rejoiced,
It’s modest flavours now take cake form. The gardener’s choice.

Salted Caramel Millionaire Shortbread
Candy of the moment and bang on trend,
Combined with an old favourite in a well-balanced blend.
A tangy salt twist this sweet will lend.

Apple and Blackberry Streusel Traybake
This fruity dessert is reminscient of childhood autumn picking,
Collecting berries for pies and ice-cream, all sweetly sticking,
To stained mouths and fingers. Except sneaky plate-licking.

We’re going mad for rhubarb, our favourite seasonal fruit, so can’t wait to sample the delicious combination of Rhubarb and Custard cake, as well as the others above, at our next pop-up, Sunday 3rd March.
