Tuesday 23rd April marks the annual World Book Night, a night where individuals and organisations around the UK give away books for free and celebrate the joy of reading. We love the word free, which is why we’ve teamed up with West Greenwich Library for this special evening to run our free book swap and give away delicious cakes baked by Crumbs and Roses.
The evening kicks off at 7pm with a trumpet fanfare to open both World Book Night and the library’s brand new gallery space, whose inaugural exhibition is entitled Greenwich Perspectives. There also promises to be more music, dance and poetry throughout the night.
Don’t forget to bring your preloved books to swap – we’ll have lots of our bookmarks on hand for you to fill in and take away for next time (which consequently, will be on Sunday 19th May at Bearspace Gallery, Deptford).
